Border an epic war movie of 1997 by J. P. Dutta, has finally started filming for Border 2 after 27 long years. The memories are still fresh in our minds and just can’t wait to see more of it coming.
Border 2 was one of the most renowned war sagas of the 90s, where every scene was so iconic that it will be interesting to see how the makers have kept the storyline going.
Earlier this year, Sunny Deol confirmed that he’ll be returning for his iconic role of Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri in the sequel “Border 2.”

The caption of the post reads,

Mark your calendars: #Border2 hits theaters on Jan 23, 2026!”
Oh wait, did they just reveal the release date of the movie?
Well, yes, it’s official now. Border 2 is all set to release on 23rd January, 2026.
So, save the date, as Border is going to be the biggest blockbuster in Hindi Cinema!
Border 2 Star Cast
What adds to the anticipation for Border 2 is the solid star cast.
Varun Dhawan, Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty all coming together on the big screen will be fun to watch.
It was already revealed in July that Sunny Deol will be returning to Border 2. After that, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh joined the cast in August and September.

Border 2 Storyline

Ahh!! Every dialogue delivered in Border dripped patriotism in its true form. But what will be the storyline for Border 2?
Where the Border movie depicted the Indo-Pak war scenes and was majorly based on events of the Battle of Longewala, Border 2 is reportedly inspired by the Kargil War of 1999. This means the Indo-Pak tensions will be seen continuing in Part 2 of Border as well.
Alongside lead stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh, another interesting thing would be to see Ahan Shetty who steps into his father’s officer Bhairav Singh’s (Sunil Shetty) shoes.
