Chhaava Makers Meets Raj Thackeray Said ‘Objectionable’ Scenes Will Be Edited

Recently, Laxman Uttekar maker of the movie Chhaava met Raj Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader due to ongoing controversies on the movie. After the meeting with Raj Thackeray, the director said that all the discussed objectionable scenes would be edited or removed before the premiere.

Laxman Uttekar further said that the Chhaava team doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Some scenes including Vicky Kaushal’s Lezim dance scene will be removed. If anyone has an objection to any scenes in the movie we will edit them or remove them according to the requirement because they don’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiment connected with Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Moreover, ‘The movie will be shown to historians and scholars before the release, if they have any issue with scene we will stop the release’, Laxman added.

Chhaava Makers Meets Raj Thackeray

Answering Laxman’s statement, a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Sambhajiraje Chhatrapati, who is an ex-MP of Rajya Sabha said that he also wants to watch the movie before its release as he can address errors and inaccuracies, so that story is presented authentically to the audience.

Laxman Uttekar’s upcoming movie Chhaava is a historical drama. The movie revolves around the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. In the movie, Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and Akshaye Khanna plays Aurangzeb. The other cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana in key roles.

The movie is set to release on 14 February 2025.
