Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 To Begin Filming in Mid 2025

Kalki 2898 AD was the talk of the town in India in 2024. As the movie ended on a cliffhanger, people were waiting for a sequel. And now, it seems that the second part is going to be shot soon.

As per the reports, shooting for this sequel may begin in mid of 2025. This is not confirmed yet by the filmmakers as they have not issued any official declaration.

Recently, the producer, Aswini Dutt, said that Kalki’s sequel would be mainly focused on three characters, namely Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas.


The producer also stated that Kamal Haasan will have more screen space in the sequel. Scenes between Kamal Haasan and Prabhas will be very interesting as well. Another great pairing is that of Amitabh Bachchan along with Deepika Padukone.


Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a science fiction movie starring Prabhas. This film, inspired by Hindu mythology, tells the story of Kalki, the 10th avatar of Lord Vishnu.


Starring Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles, it explores the birth of Kalki, with Kamal Haasan portraying the villain. The cast also includes

  • The sequel will be a worldwide release, touching the hearts of people in many countries.
  • It will further expand the Kalki Cinematic Universe by building on the hints and teases from the prequel series Bujji and Bhairava.
  • The sequel will have Kamal Haasan’s character as the main opponent. Supreme Yaskin’s role will be more impactful.
  • Deepika will be returning in her role as the mother figure of Kalki

The producers also announced that this sequel will be on a much more grand scale than the previous one, as there will be more action, breathtaking visual effects, and a storyline.
