The most anticipated biographical drama movie of 2025, Michael based on the life of Michael Jackson underwent reshooting due to legal issues. According to reports, the Michael 2025 team hit a major roadblock after they found out that some major scenes were against the legal agreement that was signed with Jackson’s former accusers.
MJ’s biopic was completed in 2024, but later found a legal settlement clause from 1993 between Jordan Chandler and Michael Jackson. According to the clause, MJ settled the case out of court for $25 million and he or his family will stipulate about the Chandler family to anyone ever.
Screenwriter John Logan said that the Chandler case is one of the major scenes in the movie and due to legal issues, the film’s narrative will be changed. He further said lawyers had approved the initial draft of the script, but during the review process, they raised questions on the Chandler case and were forced to axe or reshoot the major scene to comply with legal issues.
