The success of Kalki 2898 AD has made Prabhas ready to entertain the audience yet again through the movie Kannappa, featuring Vishnu Manchu. The film grants fans a first look at the actor as Rudra, causing a sensation around the film.

The makers of Kannappa released the first-look poster of Prabhas as Rudra on Monday. The poster shows him disguised as a hermit, hair matted down, and Chandan (sandalwood) smeared across the forehead. He wielded a crescent moon staff that suggests celestial energy and divine power. The text on the poster says, “He is the raging storm, the guide through times past and future, he is ruled by Lord Shiva’s command!
Prabhas shared the poster on his Instagram profile. The look was stunning and fans were thrilled to watch him with true delight. The caption of the post read:

The makers released a poster of Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva in the film earlier as he is making his Telugu cinema debut with this film. With the unveiling of Prabhas as Rudra, excitement is at an all-time high. And with the film’s teaser, which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival by the trinity of Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, and Prabhu Deva, has sparked even more interest among fans.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by M. Mohan Babu, Kannappa takes viewers across the millennia, exploring the journey of Kannappa Nayanar, a venerated Shaivite saint, and devotee of lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu is the film’s lead actor, with Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Prabhas also starring. Kannappa will open in cinemas worldwide on 25 April 2025.
